Woodinville Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Woodinville Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Woodinville Whiskey Co.
Woodinville, Washington
ABV: 45%
90 Proof

This bottle caught my eye at my Trader Joe’s one day. It has the honor of being the only bourbon I have ever had from the state of Washington. Overall I liked it, at $40 dollars though I thought it was little too expensive to get again.

The smell in the glass was pretty unique, I caught a lot of wooden smells. I got some oak from the barrel but I swore there was some fresh pine. Is that crazy? Was I just associating pine trees with the state of Washington? The taste had good hit of pepper spice up front and then mellowed out which was pleasant. A bourbon that left a nice lingering warmth in my chest which I imagine would work really well in the colder rainy nights of Washington that I remember from my college days.
