I found this gin when I got curious and wanted to branch out. It was in several top 10 lists on the internet so I gave it a try and was glad I did. I like floral tasting things, and this is a very floral gin. You almost can’t tell it’s gin when smelling it because the normal alcohol is lost. Lot of flowers on the nose, I picked out lavender among them.
Usually I don’t drink gin neat but was curious from the smell. It was very smooth and had a matching taste up front with a bit of licorice and then the classic gin at the end. Making a martini with it using a dry vermouth it didn’t change the flavor profile, just took the edge off which admittedly is pretty intense.
I will be going back and buying this one again, even at a slightly above average price tag of 45 dollars it’s well worth it!
